The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is known for its diverse range of programming. Each year they play over 80 concerts including the internationally acclaimed Winnipeg New Music Festival. In addition to their performance opportunities, their UnTuxed program is designed to pull back the curtain on a classics performance and offer insight as to what it takes to be in the symphony. During these matiness concert students will observe a dress rehearsal then be invited for a Q&A with the conductor. This 90-minutes program also involves a pre-performance chat where students learn about the featured work.
